Ars Musica Chicago presents music from the Middle Ages through the early Classical
Period. The music of these times was some of the most enticing and beautiful ever created, yet much of it is forgotten and rarely, if ever, performed.
With our goal of uncovering and performing many of these treasures, Ars Musica Chicago has become one of the country’s leading early music organizations.

Please join us
for “Duelling Harpsichords,” a performance of French, German and
Italian music on the 3rd of April at 4:30 PM —
In this closing concert of
our 2010-2011 season, Stephen Alltop of Northwestern University and
Jason Moy of DePaul University perform
keyboard music from the eighteenth century. Playing a pair of double
manual Franco-Flemish harpsichords, they will present delightful pieces
for two harpsichords as well as solo numbers. The duo pieces
featured will be Pièces de clavecin en concert by Rameau, the Concerto for Two Harpsichords in C major, BWV 1061, by J. S. Bach, and the scintillating
Fandango by Boccherini.
