Announcing Our 2022 Season

Salon Concert with Infusion Baroque
St. Chrysostom’s Episcopal Church, 1424 N. Dearborn Pkwy., Chicago

     Ars Musica Chicago joins forces with the award winning Montreal-based period instrument ensemble Infusion Baroque to present a special salon concert in celebration of International Women’s Day, March 8. Our program includes vocal and instrumental works by Princess Anna Amalia of Prussia, Princess Wilhelmine of Brandenburg-Bayreuth, and Élisabeth-Claude Jacquet de La Guerre, alongside music by Jean-Marie Leclair and rarely-heard German composer Georg Anton Kreüsser, whose charming and beguiling Opus 10 Flute Quintettos were recorded for the very first time by Infusion Baroque in 2018. This concert will be livestreamed on YouTube here. Music for Two Harpsichords by the Bach Family:  An Evening at Café Zimmermann
St. Chrysostom’s Episcopal Church, 1424 N. Dearborn Pkwy., Chicago

     Celebrate Early Music Month and Bach’s 337th birthday with another installment of our popular Bach coffeehouse concerts at St. Chrysostom’s Episcopal Church. This year’s ‘Evening at Cafe Zimmermann’ is co-presented by Ars Musica Chicago (AMC) and the Landowska Harpsichord Society (LHS), and features music for two harpsichords performed by the LHS’s founder and Artistic Director, Danuta Berger, and AMC’s Artistic Director, Jason J. Moy. The program includes J.S. Bach’s Double Concerto in C Major, BWV 1061a, and works by W.F. Bach, Handel, and others.  Admission is FREE; a free-will donation will be collected at the door. Due to ongoing COVID safety and mitigation protocols, this year’s coffeehouse concert will be presented in the sanctuary; food and beverages will not be served.  Map.
