Welcome to Ars Musica Chicago, an early music ensemble linking you back to a time when sound was spiritual, the heavens were magic,
and the earth was full of mystery and wonder.
Ars Musica Chicago presents music from the Middle Ages through the early Classic
Period. The music of these times was some of the most pure and beautiful ever created, yet much of it is largely forgotten.
With our goal of uncovering and performing many of these treasures, Ars Musica Chicago has become one of the country's leading early
music ensembles.
With unique programming, visually and acoustically enticing venues, and world-class performers, please
join us for our 2009-10 season under the direction of acting music director Stephen Alltop.
