Ars Musica Chicago

Ars Musica Chicago is dedicated to presenting historically informed performances of musical works from the Middle Ages through the early Classical Period.  One of our primary missions is to highlight forgotten treasures of this music, making them meaningful and exciting for modern audiences.  We are also known for our educational outreach and innovative programming, presenting events in many different venues for audiences of all ages and backgrounds.

Since 1986 Ars Musica Chicago has provided concerts, workshops and educational outreach events about music from the 12th to the beginning of the 19th century for audiences in the Chicago area.  Ars Musica Chicago, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, is funded in part by the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency; a CityArts I Grant from the City of Chicago Department of Cultural affairs; and by contributions from generous individual donors.
